ELEGOO PLA-CF (polylactic acid reinforced with carbon fiber) is a 1.75 mm composite filament supplied on a 1 kg spool. It combines the easy printability of PLA with increased stiffness and reduced shrinkage thanks to carbon fiber reinforcement, producing durable, dimensionally accurate parts with a natural matte finish. The filament is suitable for most FDM/FFF 3D printers with a 1.75 mm feed and is intended for functional prototypes, housings and technical components that require higher rigidity while remaining lightweight.

Advantages

How to use

Store the vacuum-packed spool with the included desiccant until ready to print. If the filament has absorbed moisture, dry it at about 55 ± 5°C before printing. Load the 1.75 mm filament into an FDM/FFF printer and set the nozzle temperature between 210 and 240°C and the bed temperature between 35 and 65°C depending on your printer and build surface. Use a textured PEI or another compatible surface for good adhesion. Print speeds below 300 mm/s are recommended; adjust retraction and cooling to suit your model and printer.

Recommendations

To minimize nozzle wear from carbon fibers, use a hardened or steel nozzle and avoid excessive retraction. Keep filament dry and use recommended temperatures and a suitable build surface for best dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
