The ROLINE 19" PoE MID-Span Power Supply (model 21.13.1181) is an 8-way PoE injector that delivers IEEE 802.3af compliant power and data over standard twisted-pair Ethernet cabling. It provides eight Data-in ports and eight Data+Power-out ports, enabling centralised delivery of power to devices such as access points, IP phones, network cameras and workgroup switches while fitting into a 19" rack.

How to use

Install the unit in a standard 19" rack using the included rack-mount kit, connect the device to mains power with the supplied power cord and link network switches or a switch uplink to the Data-in ports. Connect PoE-capable devices to the Data+Power-out ports using standard Ethernet cables (Cat5e or better recommended). Observe the status LEDs to verify power delivery and link status for each port.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, ensure the combined power requirements of connected PoE devices do not exceed the 110 W PoE budget. Use appropriate cabling (Cat5e or higher) and allow ventilation space for the integrated fan.
