After splicing, protect the splice with a heat-shrink sleeve or splice protector and route the pigtail to the termination location. Insert the SC/APC connector into the appropriate adapter or patch panel port, observing correct polarity for duplex links.

Recommendations

Handle the 900 µm buffered fibre carefully to avoid microbending; maintain recommended bend radii even though G.657.A1 fibre tolerates tighter bends.
