The be quiet! DARK BASE PRO 901 is a Full Tower PC case engineered for high-performance builds that require efficient airflow and quiet operation. The case supports ATX, EATX, Micro ATX, Mini-ATX and XL-ATX motherboards, accommodates multiple drive sizes (2.5", 3.5", 5.25") and ships with two pre-installed 140 mm front fans. With a bottom-mounted power supply layout and a robust construction of aluminium, glass and steel, the DARK BASE PRO 901 provides spacious internal volume (275 mm width, 604 mm depth, 569 mm height) for large components and advanced cooling setups.

Advantages

The case combines versatile compatibility with a silent design, offering support for a wide range of fan sizes (120 mm and 140 mm) and multiple drive bays (two 3.5" and six 2.5" bays plus one 5.25" bay). Its solid materials and side window allow for durable build quality and component visibility while the included front 140 mm fans improve out-of-the-box airflow. The bottom-mounted PSU layout and support for ATX and PS2 power supply form factors simplify cable management and installation.

Suitable for

  • High-performance gaming PCs with large graphics cards
  • Workstations requiring multiple storage drives and expansion
  • Silent or quiet-focused builds using multiple fans or liquid cooling

How to use

Install the chosen motherboard according to its form factor (ATX/EATX/Micro ATX/Mini-ATX/XL-ATX) using the standoffs provided. Mount storage drives in the designated 3.5" and 2.5" bays and secure the 5.25" device if required. Fit the power supply in the bottom compartment and connect cables through the case grommets for tidy cable routing. Position additional fans or radiators in supported 120 mm or 140 mm locations as needed to achieve the desired cooling performance. Use the side window to monitor component layout and clearance during assembly.

Recommendations

For optimal quiet operation and airflow, keep cable routing tidy, use the included 140 mm front fans for intake, and configure additional exhaust or radiator fans to create a balanced airflow. Verify component clearances (GPU length, cooler height, radiator thickness) against the case dimensions before purchase.
