Pastel Paint Set Staedtler 8816P C6 — 6‑piece paste paints in Blue, Mint, Orange, Pink, Purple, Yellow

Staedtler 8816P C6 is a 6-piece pastel paint set containing paste-based finger paints in Blue, Mint, Orange, Pink, Purple and Yellow supplied in a compact box. The paste formulation provides opaque coverage and soft pastel tones suitable for school art, craft projects, finger painting and mixed-media techniques. The set is intended for educational and creative use where easy application, blending and window adhesion are required.

Advantages

The paste consistency offers good opacity and fast drying while remaining easy to blend for soft gradients and overlays. These finger paints can be applied with fingers, sponges, spatulas or brushes and adhere well to paper, cardboard, wood and glass surfaces. Packaged in a convenient box, the set contains six pastel shades that support colour exploration and simple colour mixing in classroom or home settings.

Suitable for

• School art lessons and kindergarten activities
• Finger painting and tactile creative exercises
• Craft projects on paper, cardboard and wood
• Window painting and seasonal displays on glass
• Mixed‑media techniques requiring pastel, opaque tones

When it may not be suitable

This paste paint set is designed for educational and craft purposes rather than professional fine art where archival or solvent-based paints are required. It may not be suitable for fabric dyeing, long-term outdoor use or surfaces exposed to heavy abrasion, as the formulation is optimized for indoor craft and classroom conditions.

Key specifications

• Type: Pastel paste paints (finger paint consistency)
• Colour range: Blue, Mint, Orange, Pink, Purple, Yellow
• Formulation: Paste; opaque coverage
• Package type: Box containing 6 tubes/containers
• Suitable surfaces: Paper, cardboard, wood, glass/windows

How to use

Open the box and remove the required tube or container. Apply the paste paint directly with clean fingers for tactile effects, or use a sponge, spatula or brush for more controlled coverage. For window work, spread a thin even layer and allow to dry; adhesion to glass is suitable for seasonal displays but can be removed when needed. Blend colours on the working surface or mix small amounts on a palette for intermediate pastel shades. Clean hands and tools with water immediately after use while the paint is still wet.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended use: indoor crafts, school projects and finger painting
• Surface compatibility: paper, cardboard, wood and glass are suitable; not formulated for textiles or heavy outdoor exposure
• Safety: conforms to EN71, part 7 — check individual allergy considerations if relevant
• Colour set: contains six pastel tones (Blue, Mint, Orange, Pink, Purple, Yellow)

Recommendations

Use on clean, dry surfaces and allow each painted layer to dry before applying another for best opacity. For window designs, apply a moderate layer and remove while not permanently fixed if you plan to reuse the glass. Store the set in its box and reseal tubes/containers to prevent drying between uses.
