Pan lid BALLARINI 75002-898-0 Round Stainless Steel Transparent 16 cm

The BALLARINI 75002-898-0 Round Stainless Steel Transparent 16 cm pan lid is a tempered glass cover with a stainless steel rim designed to fit 16 cm diameter pans. The transparent glass window allows visual monitoring of the cooking process without lifting the lid, while the stainless steel edge provides a stable, heat-resistant seal that helps retain heat and moisture. The compact 16 cm size makes it suitable for small saucepans, frying pans and single-portion cookware.

Advantages

The combination of tempered transparent glass and a stainless steel rim offers clear visibility and mechanical durability. The lid's tight fit reduces heat and steam loss for more efficient cooking and better moisture retention. Its compact round shape and neutral finish match a wide range of cookware designs and are easy to clean by hand or in a dishwasher according to manufacturer guidelines.

Suitable for

• 16 cm diameter pans and small saucepans
• Simmering, steaming and gentle braising of small portions
• Cooking where visual monitoring without lifting the lid is needed
• Replacing a lost or damaged lid for compatible cookware

Key specifications

• Material: tempered transparent glass with stainless steel rim
• Shape: round
• Diameter: 16 cm (fits 16 cm pans)
• Function: retains heat and moisture, allows visual monitoring
• Care: suitable for regular cleaning; follow manufacturer's cleaning instructions for dishwasher safety

How to use

Place the lid on a compatible 16 cm pan so the stainless steel rim seats evenly around the pan edge. Use the transparent glass to check cooking progress and remove the lid when stirring, tasting or finishing the dish. Avoid sudden temperature shocks; allow the lid to cool slightly before exposing it to cold water or placing it on a cold surface to reduce the risk of thermal stress.

Recommendations

For best results, use the lid to cover small pots and pans during simmering or steaming to conserve heat and moisture. Check the manufacturer's cleaning and handling instructions before using a dishwasher and avoid striking the glass against hard surfaces.
