Networking Cable Dätwyler Cables S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 RJ45 20m Blue

The Dätwyler Cables S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 RJ45 20m Blue is a shielded twisted-pair network cable designed for reliable wired connections in home, office and small data center environments. With Category 6 performance and S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk while supporting high-speed Ethernet links over its 20 meter length. The blue jacket provides easy visual identification in structured cabling runs.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding offers improved protection against external interference and minimizes internal pair-to-pair crosstalk, which helps maintain signal integrity for Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth applications. The Cat6 specification ensures support for up to 1 Gbit/s links at typical distances and improved performance headroom compared to lower categories. The 20 m length covers longer runs without the need for intermediate patch panels, and the durable outer jacket resists everyday wear in office and home installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, switches and routers in an office or home network
• Patch connections between network equipment and wall outlets in structured cabling
• Short to medium backbone or cabinet connections where 20 m reach is required
• Environments that benefit from shielded cabling to reduce interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with foil on individual pairs)
• Connector type: RJ45
• Length: 20 m
• Colour: Blue
• Application: Ethernet, Gigabit networking

How to use

Route the cable from your network device to the target port, avoiding running it in parallel with power cables to minimize interference. Plug RJ45 connectors firmly into compatible Ethernet ports on switches, routers or NICs until the latch clicks. For wall- or panel-mounted installations, leave slight slack to allow for movement and service access. When terminating through patch panels or keystone jacks, verify connector orientation and maintain gentle bends—do not exceed the recommended bend radius to preserve performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the cable within standard Ethernet distance limits for Cat6 and avoid sharp bends or kinking. When installing near high-power electrical equipment, prefer shielded cabling ground practices consistent with site grounding to take full advantage of S/FTP shielding.
