How to use

Install the ES220GP into a standard equipment rack and connect AC power via the rear AC-in jack. Connect Ethernet devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports; devices that require power over Ethernet will receive power automatically on PoE-enabled ports following configuration. Use the web-based management interface or Omada Central (cloud or on-premises) to configure VLANs, QoS, port settings and monitoring. Use the SFP slots for fiber uplinks to core switches or aggregation points and verify PoE budget allocation when deploying many powered devices.

Recommendations

Plan PoE allocation before installation: list each PoE device’s power draw to ensure the 150 W budget and per-port limits are not exceeded. Use VLANs and QoS to separate surveillance traffic from general data to maintain stable video streams. When using fiber uplinks, verify SFP module compatibility and configure link aggregation or spanning tree as needed for redundancy.
