The Equip Cat.6A U/UTP Slim Patch Cable 5.0m Blue is a slim, 5-metre network patch cable designed for high-speed data transfer up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10000 Mbit/s). With a reduced diameter (32 AWG) and unshielded twisted pair construction, this cable is intended for data centres, enterprise networks and high-density installations where space and airflow management are important. It features RJ-45 straight male connectors on both ends, stranded bare copper conductors and an LSZH jacket.

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of a switch, patch panel or device and the other connector into the destination port. Ensure connectors are fully seated and strain relief is positioned to avoid sharp bends near the ends. For best performance, avoid tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference along the cable route. The cable is plug-and-play and supports PoE and PoE+ without additional configuration.

Recommendations

For optimal 10GBase-T performance, keep maximum channel lengths within standards for Cat6A and avoid bundling large numbers of cables in the same conduit where heat buildup could occur. Use proper patch panel routing to maintain airflow and reduce cable stress.
