The NETGEAR WAX610W is a business-grade dual-band access point that delivers up to 1800 Mbit/s of combined throughput. Designed for deployments that require reliable, high-capacity Wi‑Fi, it supports simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operation, Power over Ethernet (PoE) installation and modern authentication protocols (EAP, TLS, TTLS). How to use

Mount the access point in a central location and connect the primary LAN port to a PoE-capable switch or injector to power the device. Connect additional wired devices to the remaining LAN ports as needed. Use Netgear Insight Cloud for initial setup, SSID configuration, VLAN and QoS settings, and to provision mesh connections with other Insight access points. Configure authentication and security settings (EAP/TLS/TTLS) for enterprise networks and enable the optional Captive Portal for branded guest Wi‑Fi.

Recommendations

For best coverage and performance, place access points to avoid large physical obstructions and keep overlapping channels minimised. Use a Gigabit Ethernet backbone and enable VLANs and QoS to prioritise business-critical traffic. When deploying in hospitality or MDU environments, configure separate SSIDs and captive portal settings for guest isolation and ease of management.
