The Knipex 13 96 200 needle-nose pliers are multifunctional pliers designed for electrical installation tasks. Made of high-grade special tool steel, forged and oil-hardened, they combine six functions in one tool: precise gripping of flat and round material, bending, deburring, cutting cable, stripping conductors and crimping wire-end ferrules. Slim dimensions and a bolted joint provide precise, zero-backlash operation and easy access in tight spaces.

Advantages

Smooth surfaces near the tips allow gripping of single cores without damage, while serrated gripping surfaces and a pipe grip handle flat and round material securely. A clear-cut outside edge on the jaw enables work on flush-mounted junction boxes and deburring of feed-through holes. The pliers include stripping holes for 0.75–1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² conductors, a crimp die for ferrules 0.5–2.5 mm², and cable shears with induction-hardened precision cutting edges for copper and aluminium cables up to 5 x 2.5 mm² or 15 mm diameter. How to use

Use the smooth tip surfaces to grip single cores gently and the serrated areas for firmer hold on flat or round conductors. Select the appropriate stripping hole for the conductor cross-section (0.75–1.5 mm² or 2.5 mm²) and withdraw insulation carefully. Place ferrules into the crimp die sized 0.5–2.5 mm² and compress evenly until a secure crimp is formed. For cutting cables, position the conductor in the cable shears area and close the pliers fully; the induction-hardened blades are suitable for copper and aluminium up to the specified capacity. Engage the locking lever to keep the cutting edges closed when needed, and use the latching mechanism to hold material without fully opening the pliers.

Recommendations

Inspect the pliers for damage before use and ensure the correct stripping and crimping sizes are selected. Do not exceed the stated cable capacities and avoid using the pliers on hardened or live conductors.
