The BIXOLON XM7-40 is a rugged mobile label printer with direct thermal printing at 203 x 203 DPI. Designed for industrial and field use, it supports liner and linerless labels, has a compact housing with drop protection to 2.1 m and an IP54 rating, and includes an embedded peeler and a TFT colour display. The printer accepts rolls up to 66 mm diameter and prints up to 127 mm/s (5 ips) with a maximum print width of 104 mm. It offers wired USB 2.0 and serial interfaces, optional Bluetooth 5.0 Classic (MFi) and dual-band WLAN (802.11a/b/g/n) with NFC-assisted pairing, and is compatible with Android, iOS and Windows devices.

How to use

Load a direct thermal label roll (max Ø 66 mm) into the media compartment and close the cover. Power on the device and pair it via USB, NFC or the chosen wireless interface (Bluetooth or WLAN). Select the appropriate command language and printer driver or configure the printer in your label software (Label Artist™, Label Artist Mobile™, BarTender® or SAP® Smart Forms). Use the TFT display and menu to adjust print density and media type. For linerless media, enable the relevant setting and use the embedded peeler if a peeled output is required.

Recommendations

Use compatible direct thermal labels within the specified width and roll diameter, keep the print head and sensors clean for consistent print quality, and charge the smart battery using a USB Type-C Power Delivery source.
