AXIS TU8003 90 W Connectivity Midspan provides up to 90 W power over Ethernet and adds two-way audio and I/O connectivity for compatible Axis PTZ cameras. The midspan supports Ethernet speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, includes an SFP slot for fiber or long-distance links, and is compatible with IEEE 802.3bt, IEEE 802.3at, IEEE 802.3af and Axis High PoE. It accepts 100–240 V input at 50/60 Hz and comes with a 1.8 m cable; its compact dimensions make it suitable for varied installation environments.

How to use

Install the AXIS TU8003 near the network or fiber entry point and connect the midspan to mains power (100–240 V). Insert an appropriate SFP module for fiber connections if required, then connect the Ethernet cable from the midspan to the Axis PTZ camera. Configure camera network settings as usual; Portcast uses the camera’s IP address to enable audio and I/O without separate VMS licensing. Use the I/O interface for remote on/off control when power saving or remote resets are needed.
