Managed Switch Cudy GS2028PS4 L2 Gigabit Ethernet 24 Ports PoE

The Cudy GS2028PS4 L2 Gigabit Ethernet 24 Ports PoE is a rack-mountable managed switch designed for structured network environments that require high port density and integrated Power over Ethernet. This 1U unit provides 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and four combo Gigabit ports, supports Layer 2 switching features and industry networking standards, and offers a switching capacity suitable for small to medium enterprise access and aggregation layers. The switch has a compact black metal housing, a silent cooling system and a built-in PoE power budget that enables connected devices to receive power and data over the same Ethernet cable.

Advantages

The GS2028PS4 delivers centralized PoE power management and flexible Layer 2 control in a single rackable device, simplifying installation and reducing cable clutter. With Gigabit Ethernet ports and combo uplink options, it supports predictable throughput and reliable connectivity for wired endpoints. Support for common networking standards such as IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, 802.1p prioritization and IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation enables traffic segmentation, QoS and increased uplink bandwidth where needed. The silent cooling design and compact 1U chassis make it suitable for equipment rooms and noise-sensitive deployments.

Suitable for

• Office networks with multiple wired workstations and IP phones
• Surveillance systems requiring PoE for cameras
• Wireless access point aggregation and power delivery
• Small to medium enterprise edge and access layer deployments

How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19-inch rack using the supplied brackets and secure it according to rack safety guidelines. Connect power and, if required, configure the PoE budget according to the connected devices’ power requirements. Use the management interface to assign VLANs, set QoS policies, configure link aggregation and enable any required security or traffic control features. Connect endpoints to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports for both data and PoE power where applicable, and use the combo uplink ports for flexible connections to aggregation switches or routers.

Recommendations

Plan PoE allocation before deployment: confirm total power draw of cameras, access points and phones to ensure they remain within the switch’s PoE budget. Use VLANs and QoS to separate and prioritize traffic types such as voice, video and management. For increased uplink throughput, configure link aggregation on supported ports and verify firmware is up to date for stability and security improvements.
