Loudspeaker cable Procab CLS225-B2CA/3 2 x 2.5 mm², 300 m reel

Procab CLS225-B2CA/3 loudspeaker cable on a 300 m reel provides two 2.5 mm² conductors designed for permanent audio installations and professional sound systems. The cable is intended to transmit amplified signals reliably between amplifiers and loudspeakers in venues, studios, stages and fixed AV installations. Supplied on a full-length reel, it simplifies long runs and helps maintain consistent electrical characteristics across extended distances.

Advantages

The construction with two 2.5 mm² conductors ensures low resistance and stable signal transfer for medium-power speaker connections. A robust outer jacket protects the conductors from mechanical wear and environmental influence typical for stage and installation use. Being supplied on a 300 m reel reduces the need for many joins or multiple shorter cables, improving signal integrity and saving installation time. The cable design supports professional audio requirements for clarity and consistent performance.

Suitable for

• Permanent AV installations in venues and public spaces
• Fixed speaker wiring for theatres, halls and houses of worship
• Stage and touring setups requiring long cable runs
• Studio and control-room loudspeaker connections

Key specifications

• Conductor configuration: 2 conductors
• Conductor cross-section: 2 x 2.5 mm²
• Reel length: 300 m
• Intended use: loudspeaker / audio signal transmission
• Mechanical protection: durable outer jacket suitable for installation and stage use

How to use

Measure the required run length and unspool the cable from the 300 m reel, maintaining gentle tension to avoid kinks. Strip the conductor ends and terminate them with appropriate speaker connectors or solder them to terminals according to equipment specifications, ensuring correct polarity. Route the cable following installation best practices: avoid sharp bends, keep it away from mains power cables where possible, and secure it with suitable clips or cable ties to prevent movement and mechanical stress. When making long runs, verify continuity and resistance to ensure correct installation before powering amplifiers.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this cable for runs appropriate to its 2.5 mm² cross-section and follow local electrical and fire-safety codes during fixed installations. Where heavy mechanical strain or exposure to moisture is expected, consider additional protective conduits or trays. Test speaker-level connections at low levels before full operation to confirm polarity and signal integrity.
