The Lindy MPO Fibre Optic HDMI® 8K60 Extender transmits uncompressed UltraHD HDMI signals over a single Type A MPO OM3 multimode fibre optic cable up to 100 m. It supports up to 7680×4320 @60Hz 4:4:4 10‑bit video, HDR, HLG and Dolby Vision, and passes lossless audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD. Both transmitter and receiver feature integrated MPO male fibre leads and integrated USB power leads; the receiver requires a 5V USB power source while the transmitter can be powered from the HDMI source. Two MPO couplers are included to connect a Type A MPO female-to-female cable (not included).

How to use

Connect the transmitter to the HDMI source and the receiver to the display using the units' integrated MPO male fibre leads together with a Type A MPO female-to-female cable connected via the supplied MPO couplers. Power the transmitter from the HDMI source if supported; otherwise supply 5V USB power. Power the receiver using a 5V USB charger or any powered USB port. Ensure the connected devices and cables support the desired resolution and HDR/codec formats. Route the OM3 multimode fibre cable through conduit or partitions as required for the installation environment.

Recommendations

Use certified OM3 Type A MPO multimode fibre for guaranteed 8K60 performance and keep fibre connectors clean and properly coupled. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress on the fibre leads; follow standard fibre handling procedures. If longer runs or single‑mode transmission is required, select an appropriate single‑mode MPO solution.
