Lenovo Mylar component FRU01YU067 – replacement Mylar sheet for Lenovo devices

Lenovo Mylar component FRU01YU067 – replacement Mylar sheet for Lenovo devices is a thin dielectric and protective film supplied as an original-equipment part for compatible Lenovo products. It is intended to restore or replace insulation, shielding, or protective layers inside laptops, tablets and other compact electronic assemblies during repair or refurbishment. The sheet’s physical flexibility and stable dielectric properties make it suitable for use where a slim, heat-resistant barrier is required without altering component spacing.

Advantages

This original Lenovo Mylar sheet provides consistent dielectric strength and predictable thickness, ensuring reliable insulation and protection for internal components. Its thin, flexible construction allows for precise placement in confined spaces and helps maintain original device clearances. As a replacement part, it supports professional repair workflows and helps preserve device thermal and electromagnetic properties when installed correctly.

Suitable for

• Repair and refurbishment of compatible Lenovo laptops and portable devices
• Replacing damaged or worn protective insulation layers inside electronic assemblies
• Service-center maintenance where original-equipment replacement parts are required

Key specifications

• Material: Mylar (polyester film)
• Form factor: thin flexible sheet suitable for compact assemblies
• Function: dielectric insulation, protective barrier and minor electromagnetic shielding
• Thermal properties: suitable for typical device operating temperatures (heat-resistant polyester film)
• Compatibility: intended for use with specific Lenovo device models requiring an original Mylar replacement

How to use

Turn off the device, disconnect power and remove any batteries before beginning service. Disassemble the device following the manufacturer’s service manual and locate the original Mylar sheet to be replaced. Carefully remove adhesive residues and position the replacement Mylar sheet so that it aligns with mounting points and components, ensuring there is no contact with moving parts or connectors. Reassemble the device and verify proper operation, paying attention to any changes in thermal behavior or electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use appropriate ESD protection and follow Lenovo repair documentation for model-specific instructions. Do not compress or crease the Mylar sheet unnecessarily and avoid exposing it to solvents or excessive heat. If adhesive attachment is required, use manufacturer-recommended tapes or adhesives to maintain long-term stability.
