Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Perfect for the modern professional, the ThinkPad T16 has a choice of large-capacity batteries, each able to run all-day on a single charge. There is an array of ports, including Intel® Thunderbolt™ 4 and HDMI, plus blazing-fast connectivity options, including Intel® Wi-Fi 6. It also has a full-sized keyboard with a number pad, ideal for number-crunching on the go.

Smarter security, from the inside out
To help protect your data and your business from growing cyber threats, ThinkPad T16 has a number of robust ThinkPad and ThinkShield security features. This includes a PrivacyGuard display and a biometric Power-On touch fingerprint reader, plus Intel vPro® hardware-based security. In addition, the optional FHD + IR camera will detect if someone is viewing your screen over your shoulder.

Powerful yet sustainable
Even with all its productivity- and creativity-enhancing features, this ThinkPad was designed with the planet in mind. We used recycled post-consumer content (PCC), such as plastic and natural materials, in various components, including the speaker enclosure, battery compartment, and adapter. It also comes with recycled and/or sustainably forested packaging and recycled PCC cardboard cushioning.

Reliability & durability you can trust
We use the US Department of Defense's MIL-STD 810H standards to create a balance of reliability and durability for our ThinkPad laptops. Measured against 12 stringent standards and more than 200 quality checks, they’re able to run in the harshest of conditions, from the Arctic wilderness to desert dust storms. How to use

Set up the ThinkPad E16 by completing the Windows 11 Pro initial configuration and connecting to a power source for the first charge. Use the touchscreen or touchpad and keyboard for navigation; enable Wi‑Fi and sign in with your Microsoft account to synchronize settings and files. Install required productivity applications and security updates from Windows Update. For presentations or external displays, use the available video/USB ports to connect monitors or projectors. Manage power settings in Windows to balance performance and battery life according to your usage.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the system firmware and drivers up to date, maintain at least 15–20% free SSD space for system tasks, and use the built-in power profiles to extend battery life when on the move. When doing prolonged video calls or multimedia work, connect to a power source and ensure a stable Wi‑Fi 6 connection for best results.
