IP security camera IMOU Imou Rex 3D 2K — indoor wired/wireless spherical camera, 2K, 3.6 mm lens, 102° diagonal view

Imou Rex 3D 2K is an indoor IP security camera designed for wired and wireless desk deployment. It records 2K video using a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor and a 3.6 mm lens, providing a diagonal field of view of 102° (83° horizontal, 46° vertical). The compact spherical black housing and 206 g weight make the camera suitable for homes and small offices that require continuous video surveillance and flexible network connection via Ethernet or Wi‑Fi.

Advantages

The camera delivers 2K resolution for clearer detail compared with standard HD models, and the 3.6 mm lens covers a wide area with a 102° diagonal view. Dual connectivity (wired Ethernet and wireless Wi‑Fi) allows placement flexibility and reliable network options. Night vision up to 10 m supports monitoring in low‑light conditions, while the spherical desk form factor is compact and unobtrusive for indoor environments.

Suitable for

• Monitoring living rooms, bedrooms and nurseries
• Small office and reception area surveillance
• Keeping watch on common areas and entryways
• Continuous video recording and remote viewing via network

How to use

Place the camera on a stable desk or shelf with a clear view of the area to be monitored, and connect it to power. Choose a wired Ethernet connection for maximum network stability or connect via Wi‑Fi when cable routing is impractical. Use the IMOU mobile or desktop application to complete initial setup, configure resolution and recording preferences, and enable night vision mode if required. Position the camera so the 102° diagonal field of view covers the intended zone and test live view and motion detection settings to confirm desired coverage.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, position the camera within good Wi‑Fi signal range if using wireless mode, or use Ethernet for continuous high‑bandwidth recording. Avoid placing the camera directly facing bright light sources or windows to reduce glare and backlight. Regularly check firmware updates through the IMOU app and configure storage and notification settings to match monitoring needs.
