IP security camera IMILAB EC5 Cube 2048 x 1080 pixels

The IMILAB EC5 Cube 2048 x 1080 pixels is an IP security camera designed for flexible indoor and outdoor surveillance. Delivering high-definition video at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1080 pixels, this cube-style camera in white supports both wired Ethernet and wireless Wi‑Fi connectivity. It is compatible with common video streaming and storage workflows, and supports H.264 and H.265 compression formats to reduce bandwidth and storage usage while maintaining image clarity.

Advantages

This camera offers clear high-resolution video suitable for general monitoring tasks and situational review. Dual connectivity via Ethernet LAN and Wi‑Fi provides installation flexibility and redundancy in network access. H.264 and H.265 video compression allow efficient recording and lower storage costs without a significant loss of detail. The cube form factor and white finish provide a discreet appearance for residential and commercial environments, and the mounting options for wall or pole installation enable adaptable placement.

How to use

Install the IMILAB EC5 Cube on a stable wall or pole using appropriate hardware and mounting height for the desired field of view. Connect the camera to power and choose either Ethernet for wired networking or configure Wi‑Fi through the companion app or web interface. Use the app or a compatible NVR/software to set resolution, compression (H.264 or H.265), recording schedule, motion detection zones, and alerts. Verify the camera angle and focus in live view and adjust settings to balance image quality and storage use.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, mount the camera under an overhang or use a weather-protective cover if it will be exposed to direct rain. Select H.265 compression when long-term recording and reduced storage consumption are priorities; choose H.264 when compatibility with older systems is required. Regularly check firmware updates and secure network access with strong passwords and, where available, two-factor authentication to maintain device security.
