Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Problem with an order right now? Write to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] — answered the same business day. The letter also lists our group and store owners' contacts.

The Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL(2.8)/EF/BLK is an 8 MP Smart Hybrid Light fixed turret network camera designed for indoor and outdoor surveillance. It delivers 3840 x 2160 resolution from a CMOS sensor, offers wide-angle coverage with a 2.8 mm lens (108.8° horizontal, 56.4° vertical), and supports 360° rotation for flexible installation. The camera provides clear imaging across varied lighting conditions and includes scene-aware features to reduce storage and bandwidth while improving situational awareness.

Advantages

The camera combines high-resolution 8 MP capture with ColorVu hybrid lighting to maintain color details in low light. It supports video motion detection and efficient encoding to minimize storage and network load. Designed for ceiling mounting, the black turret housing is suitable for many indoor and outdoor applications and offers a detection distance up to 89 meters with recognition capability at about 17 meters.

Suitable for

  • Indoor public spaces (lobbies, corridors)
  • Retail environments and stores
  • Office and commercial premises
  • Outdoor covered areas and parking entrances

Key specifications

  • Resolution: 3840 x 2160 (8 MP)
  • Lens: 2.8 mm; horizontal viewing angle 108.8°, vertical 56.4°
  • Sensor type: CMOS
  • Frame rate: 30 fps
  • Detection distance: up to 89 m; recognition ~17 m
  • Rotation: 360°
  • Mounting type: Ceiling
  • Connectivity: Wired Ethernet (no Wi‑Fi)
  • Features: ColorVu hybrid light, video motion detection
  • Product colour: Black
  • Weight: 0.82 kg

How to use

Mount the camera on a ceiling surface using appropriate fixings and connect it to a PoE-enabled switch or compatible power source over Ethernet. Configure network settings and install the camera in a Hikvision-compatible NVR or management software. Adjust the turret rotation and lens orientation to cover the desired field of view, set up video motion detection zones and recording parameters, and verify lighting and ColorVu settings for low-light color capture.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, install the camera at recommended heights for the intended use case, ensure stable wired network and PoE power, and perform regular firmware updates. Use appropriate protective housing if installed in exposed outdoor locations.
