Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Problem with an order right now? Write to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] — answered the same business day. The letter also lists our group and store owners' contacts.

The Hikvision DS-2CD2H46G2-IZS(2.8-12MM)(C) is an IP security camera for indoor and outdoor use that captures video at 2688 x 1520 resolution. It uses a CMOS sensor and a varifocal 2.8–12 mm lens to cover wide areas with a horizontal field of view of 108° and a rotation capability of 360°, supporting monitoring distances up to 190 m. The camera connects via wired Ethernet, supports video motion detection and is supplied in a white housing suitable for ceiling or wall mounting.

Advantages

The camera integrates Hikvision AcuSense deep-learning algorithms to classify human and vehicle targets at both front- and back-end devices, reducing false alarms and increasing detection accuracy. High resolution (2688 x 1520) and a varifocal lens provide clear images and flexible framing. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures reliable network performance and the IP-capable design supports both indoor and outdoor installations.

Suitable for

  • Perimeter and entrance monitoring for buildings
  • Parking lots and vehicle access control
  • Indoor public spaces such as lobbies and corridors
  • Warehouse and site surveillance

Key specifications

  • Model: DS-2CD2H46G2-IZS(2.8-12MM)(C)
  • Resolution: 2688 x 1520 pixels
  • Lens: 2.8–12 mm varifocal
  • Sensor: CMOS
  • Frame rate: 30 fps
  • Field of view: Horizontal 108°, rotation 360°
  • Maximum monitoring distance: up to 190 m
  • Connectivity: Wired Ethernet (no Wi‑Fi)
  • Motion detection: Video motion detection supported
  • Mounting: Ceiling or wall
  • Colour: White
  • Weight: 1.075 kg

How to use

Mount the camera on a stable ceiling or wall surface using appropriate fixings. Connect the camera to your network via Ethernet and power it according to your installation (PoE if supported by your system). Configure the camera through Hikvision-compatible software or a network video recorder: set resolution to 2688 x 1520, adjust the varifocal lens to the desired field of view, and enable video motion detection. Use AcuSense settings on supported devices to prioritise human and vehicle classification for alarm filtering.

Recommendations

For best performance, install the camera at a height and angle that maximises scene coverage without occlusions, ensure adequate lighting for the monitored area, and keep firmware updated. When using AcuSense classification, calibrate detection regions and sensitivity to match the monitored environment to minimise false positives.
