How to use

Insert the SFP transceiver into any compatible SFP slot on a switch or router while the device is powered on; the module supports hot-plug operation. Connect a single-mode LC fiber patch cable, ensuring the correct pairing with a matching WDM transceiver at the remote end (for example Intellinet 508599 or Cisco GLC-BX40-D) so that transmit and receive wavelengths align. Verify link status on the host device and monitor DDM parameters via the switch or router management interface to confirm optical power levels and operating conditions.

Recommendations

Use this module in pairs with the appropriate complementary BX transceiver to ensure correct wavelength direction. Avoid bending or stressing single-mode fiber around tight radii and confirm DDM readings during installation to detect signal or temperature issues early.
