In existing installations, analogue video transmissions such as composite or S-Video are often still in use. The HDMI-to-analogue audio/video converter enables the integration of modern HDMI sources into such environments without having to replace the existing cabling structure.
In retrofit projects, current HDMI output devices can be integrated into existing CVBS or S-Video infrastructures. The switchable PAL and NTSC output allows for flexible use in various video systems.
In technical testing or service environments, it may be necessary to convert digital HDMI signals into analogue formats. The defined output impedance of 75 ohms facilitates standard-compliant integration into existing video systems. Power is supplied via 5 V DC. HDCP-protected content is not converted.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source device to the converter's HDMI input using a standard HDMI cable. Use the composite (RCA) or S-Video output to connect to the target display or recording device; connect RCA audio outputs to speakers or an audio input if required. Power the converter as instructed by the manufacturer (use the provided adapter or specified power source). Select the appropriate video input on the display and the correct NTSC or PAL format if your display requires manual selection.

Recommendations

For best results, use high-quality HDMI and analog cables and verify the target display supports the chosen video system (NTSC or PAL). When connecting devices with HDCP-protected content, playback may be restricted; test compatibility before deployment.
