The InLine® USB‑A 2.0 terminal block adapter with permanently integrated connection cable combines a plug-in USB connection with the flexibility of open signal wiring. The USB‑A plug is directly connected to a 5‑pin screw terminal block – ideal for test stations, diagnostic devices, embedded systems, or laboratory applications.
The terminals are clearly labeled (1: ground, 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: voltage, 5: shield) and enable easy and reliable signal assignment. The terminals with a 5.0 mm grid size support wires in the range of 16–26 AWG. Wiring is tool-assisted with a flat-head screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm.
The approx. 1 m long USB cable saves additional wiring time and allows immediate use without adapters or soldering. An EVA insulating layer protects during installation on conductive surfaces.

How to use

Strip the USB signal wires to the recommended length, insert conductors into the corresponding labeled terminals (1–5) and tighten the pressure plate screws using a flat‑head screwdriver ≤ 2.5 mm. Connect the USB‑A plug to the host or device. The permanently integrated cable avoids the need for additional adapters or soldering. Ensure the EVA insulating layer contacts any conductive surface to reduce risk of shorting during placement.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for temporary or test connections; for permanent installations follow device manufacturer guidelines. Do not exceed the rated current of 0.7 A per pin and keep operating temperature within –20 °C to +105 °C. Verify correct terminal assignment before powering the USB VBUS (5 V DC).
