How to use

Mount the turret cameras on an outdoor wall or surface using the supplied brackets and position each camera to cover the desired zones. Insert the included 128 GB SD card and the provided SIM to enable local recording and cellular backup, or connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network. Use the Imou Life app to add each device, configure detection zones, enable AOV recording and set protection schedules. Power the cameras using the internal battery and, where available, connect a compatible solar panel to extend autonomy. During normal operation the camera will record one frame every three seconds to conserve storage and battery, and automatically switch to continuous full‑frame recording when an event is detected.

Recommendations

For reliable detection and minimal false alarms, install the cameras at recommended mounting heights facing clear sightlines without direct light sources in the field of view. Configure detection zones in the app to exclude nearby roads or moving vegetation, enable automatic network failover between Wi‑Fi and 4G, and consider adding the solar panel for extended unattended operation. Regularly verify firmware updates in the app and periodically check stored footage on the SD card to ensure continuous recording.
