Household blade fan Tristar VE-5858

The Tristar VE-5858 is a compact household blade fan designed for floor placement and occasional table use. It combines a two‑tone white and black housing with a 30 cm diameter bladewheel and operates on AC power with a 40 W consumption at 240 V input. The fan includes three speed settings, a rotating wind grid for wider air distribution and a programmable timer that can shut the unit off between 20 and 120 minutes.

Advantages

The fan’s compact cubical design and sturdy feet make it easy to move between rooms while keeping stable placement on both floor and table surfaces. A rotating wind grid expands the area covered by airflow, and the three-speed control allows simple adjustment of cooling intensity. The integrated timer enables automatic shutdown after a selectable interval, which is useful for night use or energy savings.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Cooling bedrooms during warm nights with timer-controlled automatic shutoff
• Supplementary air circulation in living rooms, home offices or kitchens
• Portable spot cooling in small to medium-sized rooms
• Temporary use on tables or countertops when placed on a stable surface

When it may not be suitable

The Tristar VE-5858 is intended for household use in small to medium rooms; it is not suitable as the primary cooling device for large open-plan areas or for continuous industrial use. If you require directional oscillation with automated wide-area swing beyond the rotating wind grid, or refrigerant cooling (air conditioning), this electric blade fan will not provide those functions.

Key specifications

• Product type: Household blade fan for floor or table placement
• Colour: White and black two-tone housing
• Blade diameter: 30 cm
• Power consumption: 40 W
• Input voltage: 240 V AC
• Speed settings: 3 speeds (adjustable via front rotary knob)
• Air distribution: Rotating wind grid for extra-wide airflow
• Timer: Adjustable automatic shutdown from 20 to 120 minutes

How to use

Place the fan on a stable, flat surface at floor or table height, keeping it clear of obstructions and at a safe distance from water sources. Connect to a compatible 240 V AC outlet. Use the rotary knob on the front to select one of three speed settings. If desired, set the timer to automatically switch the fan off after a period between 20 and 120 minutes. For directional coverage, position the fan so the rotating wind grid faces the area you want to cool.

What to consider before purchase

• Room size: intended for small to medium rooms; larger areas may need additional fans or air conditioning
• Placement: designed for floor or table use—ensure stable surface and enough clearance
• Power supply: requires 240 V AC mains
• Noise level: blade fans generate audible airflow; consider this for bedroom use
• Functions: offers airflow and timer but does not provide refrigeration or advanced smart features

Recommendations

For best results, place the Tristar VE-5858 near an open window or doorway to encourage air circulation through the room. Use lower speed settings overnight and enable the timer to avoid unnecessary operation. Regularly check and clean the grille and blade area (with the unit unplugged) to maintain airflow efficiency.
