The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB is a compact, wireless smoke and heat detector compliant with the EN 14604 standard — an essential safety device for any home or office. It not only detects smoke but also senses sudden temperature changes: the alarm sounds if the room temperature reaches 64°C or rises by more than 10°C within one minute. The smoke sensor does not react to water vapour. Thanks to Ajax's unique Jeweller radio technology, the detector can be mounted up to 1700 metres (in open space) from the Ajax Hub control panel and still maintain a reliable signal. Setup is simple: scan the QR code on the packaging and add it in the Ajax Security System app, then fix it to a vertical surface using the SmartBracket holder. The built-in alarm sounds at up to 85 dB and, on detecting smoke, immediately notifies the hub, which alerts you via your smartphone. It runs on standard replaceable batteries and uses energy very efficiently, so one set lasts up to 7 years. To use all its features it must be paired with a smart hub, and you need an Android or iOS device.
