How to use

Select a correctly sized heat shrink tube so that it overlaps the area to be insulated. Slide the tube over the cable, splice or connector. Apply heat evenly with a hot air gun or other suitable heat source until the tube shrinks and the adhesive (for dual-wall tubes) flows to form a seal. Allow the tube to cool and verify the tube has contracted uniformly and adhered to the underlying surface.

Recommendations

For best results, use a regulated hot air gun at appropriate temperature settings for polyethylene shrink tubing. Avoid open flames and excessive heat that could deform the cable insulation or the tube. For moisture-sensitive applications choose the dual-wall adhesive-lined tubes to ensure a watertight seal.
