How to use

Slide an appropriate length of heat shrink tubing over the cable or joint before making the electrical connection. After preparing the splice or connector, position the tubing centrally over the area to be insulated and apply heat evenly using a hot air gun or other controlled heat source until the tube contracts and forms a tight seal. Allow to cool before handling.

Recommendations

For consistent results, use a regulated hot air gun and heat evenly from a distance to avoid overheating; select a tubing diameter slightly larger than the unshrunk cable so it fully covers the splice before shrinking.
