HDMI extension cable Kindermann 7444000715 — 15 m active optical cable, supports 4K 60Hz

Active optical HDMI extension cable Kindermann 7444000715 — 15 m active optical cable, supports 4K 60Hz extends HDMI connections up to 15 metres while preserving high-resolution video and audio. The cable uses active optical technology to minimise signal loss over long runs, enabling reliable transmission of 4K video at 60 Hz between source devices and displays, projectors or AV receivers. The design eliminates the need for intermediate repeaters and is suitable for installations where a stable HDMI link is required over a longer distance.

Advantages

The active optical construction reduces attenuation and electromagnetic interference compared to long copper HDMI runs, ensuring consistent 4K60 performance. At 15 m length it supports uncompressed video and multichannel audio formats typical for home cinema and professional AV setups. The thin and flexible cable body simplifies routing in ceilings, walls or behind furniture, while plug-and-play operation requires no external power or software. The cable is compatible with standard HDMI signals and preserves EDID and HDCP handshakes for most modern devices.

How to use

Connect one end of the active optical HDMI cable to the HDMI output of the source device and the other end to the HDMI input of the display or projector. Ensure both devices are powered before establishing the connection so that EDID and HDCP handshakes complete. The cable is plug-and-play and does not require external power; if any display settings are necessary adjust resolution and refresh rate on the source to 4K 60 Hz. For installations passing through wall plates or conduits, feed the cable carefully to avoid tight bends near the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance keep bending radius shallow and avoid sharp kinks; avoid running the cable in close parallel to high-power mains wiring to reduce potential interference. Verify device compatibility with 4K60 and HDCP standards before installation. For permanent in-wall installations follow local building codes and, if required, use conduit and appropriate strain relief at connection points.
