Hand sander KWB 485170 Flexible accepts sanding sheets 93 x 230 mm and is designed for manual sanding of wood, metal and painted surfaces. The sander features a flexible sanding plate and spring clamps for securing abrasive sheets; 50 aluminium oxide sanding sheets for derusting, paint, varnish and filler are included. The tool can also be used together with orbital sanders for compatible sanding sheets.

How to use

Fit a 93 x 230 mm sanding sheet under the spring clamps and ensure it is held taut across the flexible plate. Sand with even pressure along the grain on wood or with controlled strokes on metal and painted surfaces. Replace abrasive sheets when wear reduces cutting efficiency. When using with an orbital sander, follow the orbital sander manufacturer's instructions and ensure compatibility of the sanding sheets.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and a dust mask. Start with a coarser grit to remove material quickly, then progress to finer grits for finishing. Keep the sanding plate clean from debris to maintain even sanding results.
