DIGITUS DK-3904LCA-50-1 FTTH drop cable is a singlemode optical cable with four fibres and four LC/APC connectors on one end, supplied in a 50 m length. It is intended for fiber-to-the-home installations and short outdoor/indoor runs for point-to-point subscriber drops and premises handover. The cable uses G.657A2 bend-optimized singlemode fibre and a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) sheath for safer indoor use. A pre-assembled connector end reduces installation time and the open end is prepared for simple routing into a building distributor or floor termination point.

How to use

Route the open end of the cable through the ducting or trunking to the building or floor distributor. Use the pre-assembled LC/APC connectors to terminate directly into subscriber sockets, patch panels or adapters at the handover point. During installation, use the pull-in loop integrated in the cable to assist feeding without stressing the fibre. Ensure connectors and ports are clean before mating to maintain the specified insertion and return loss values.

Recommendations

Maintain the specified minimum bending radius during installation and avoid sharp bends. Use appropriate conduit, trunking and strain relief to protect the cable when pulling and fixing.
