APC Easy Rack ER8822 is an EIA-310 standard, pre-assembled freestanding IT enclosure designed for datacenter and server environments. The cabinet provides 48U of usable mounting height in a wide (800 mm) and deep (1200 mm) format to accommodate high-density converged IT equipment and deep devices. The rack ships with roof, side panels, levelling feet, casters, mounting hardware and four PDU mounting brackets, and is supplied without a bottom panel. Static load rating is 1200 kg and dynamic load rating is 600 kg; the enclosure is finished in black and can be delivered fully assembled or unassembled for onsite assembly.

How to use

Position the freestanding APC Easy Rack on a level surface and use the castors to move it into place; once located, fit the levelling feet to stabilise the enclosure. Install equipment into the standard EIA-310 u-spaces using the supplied mounting hardware and, if needed, use the adjacent vertical 1U mounting spaces for cable management or vertical accessories. Mount PDUs on the supplied brackets and route cabling through the side or rear as required. If shipped unassembled, follow the assembly instructions provided by the manufacturer to build the rack before fitting equipment.

Recommendations

For optimal airflow and weight distribution, place heavier equipment lower in the rack, ensure perforated doors remain unobstructed, and use vertical cable management to avoid blocking perforations. When remote monitoring is required, integrate compatible EcoStruxure IT devices and PDUs to enable centralized visibility and alerts.
