Advantages

How to use

Install the HF680 in a fixed position facing the expected barcode presentation area and connect it to a host using the provided wired interface (USB or other supported wired connections). Position items or devices so barcodes face the scan window; the distributed LED illumination will engage automatically based on usage. For intermittent scanning the lighting remains on; it turns off when the scanner is idle. No frequent switching between scanning modes is required thanks to hybrid imaging, but ensure host drivers or configuration software are installed if required by your system.

Recommendations

Place the scanner at a stable mounting location with a clear view of the barcode presentation zone. Maintain a clean scan window and ensure printed barcodes have at least 20% contrast; for screen-based barcodes verify reasonable display brightness (10%–100%) to ensure reliable decoding.
