The DeLOCK 66998 fibre optic splice enclosure is a pre-assembled metal unit for 19" rack mounting that provides a compact and secure housing for fibre optic splices. How to use

Mount the enclosure in a standard 19" rack using the front mounting points. Route incoming and outgoing fibre cables into the enclosure through the appropriate cable entries, secure the fibres to the cable management points, and perform splicing inside the splice cassette where the 12 pigtails are already positioned. After splicing, place the splice protection (heat-shrink or sleeves) in the cassette, organize fibres along the built-in guides, and slide the front drawer back into position to close the unit.

Recommendations

Handle fibres with appropriate ESD precautions and use proper fibre splicing tools and protective sleeves. Ensure bend radii are maintained according to fibre specifications and avoid installing in environments with excessive moisture or dust without additional environmental protection.
