Fibre optic cable EFB Elektronik O0313.7 7.5 m OM3 LC–ST full duplex turquoise

EFB Elektronik O0313.7 is a 7.5 m OM3 multimode fibre optic cable with an LC connector at one end and an ST connector at the other. The cable features a 50 µm core diameter and supports full duplex transmission, making it suitable for InfiniBand and fibre optic network links where high-speed multimode performance is required over short to medium distances. The turquoise jacket denotes OM3 specification and the cable is intended for interconnecting servers, switches and other network equipment in data centre and enterprise environments.

Advantages

The cable provides stable multimode performance with a 50 µm core optimized for OM3 bandwidth. Full duplex operation enables simultaneous bidirectional data flow without additional fibres, and the mixed LC–ST connector combination allows direct connection between devices that use different interface types. The 7.5 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or cabinet-to-cabinet links while maintaining manageable cable routing and reduced clutter. The jacket colour and connector keying help with fast visual identification during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Data centre server-to-switch connections
• InfiniBand and high-speed multimode links
• Patch panels and network equipment interlinks
• Short to medium distance multimode transmission

Key specifications

• Cable type: Multimode OM3
• Length: 7.5 m
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC (single or duplex LC interface)
• Connector B: ST
• Transmission: Full duplex multimode
• Jacket colour: Turquoise (OM3 identification)

How to use

Verify that the LC and ST connector types match the ports on your equipment. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and sources of electromagnetic interference; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre to prevent increased attenuation. Gently insert the LC connector into the LC port until you feel a click, and insert the ST connector into the ST port using its bayonet-style twist until secure. Perform optical power and link testing after installation to confirm signal integrity and correct duplex operation.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short to medium multimode runs inside racks and between adjacent cabinets. Keep connectors capped when not in use, inspect endfaces for contamination before mating, and use appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and prevent mechanical stress. For longer links or single-mode requirements, select a cable with the corresponding fibre type and connector interfaces.
