Fibre optic cable BlueOptics CBL-MTP12-OM3-30M-BO MTP OM3 30m Cyan

The BlueOptics CBL-MTP12-OM3-30M-BO is a 30-metre OM3 multimode fibre optic cable with MTP/MPO-12 connectors on both ends, developed for high-density network links and InfiniBand environments. The cable uses laser-optimized OM3 multimode fibre to support high-speed data transmission over medium distances, and the cyan outer sheath provides clear visual identification in data center installations. Constructed with high-quality connectors and fibre, this BlueOptics cable is intended for reliable, low-loss optical interconnections between patch panels, transceivers and switch ports.

Advantages

The OM3 specification and MTP/MPO-12 connector format enable parallel optics and multi-channel links with low attenuation and good return loss characteristics. The 30 m length covers longer runs in server rooms or between racks while preserving signal integrity. The cyan colour and LSZH-compatible sheath enhance manageability and safety in dense cabling environments. Mechanical components such as ceramic ferrules and factory-polished connectors reduce insertion loss and ensure consistent mating performance.

How to use

Inspect both connectors and adapter ports for dust or damage before installation, and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary. Route the cable through cable trays or guides, avoiding tight bends and tensile stress that exceed the cable's minimum bend radius. Plug the MTP/MPO-12 connectors into the corresponding ports on patch panels or transceivers, ensuring proper keying and alignment. Secure slack and label both ends for easier maintenance. Perform optical loss or link verification tests after installation to confirm acceptable insertion loss and continuity.

Recommendations

Handle connectors with dust caps until final connection, avoid repeated unnecessary mating cycles, and maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radii. For parallel optics and InfiniBand deployments, verify polarity and channel mapping prior to production use and perform end-to-end testing to validate performance.
