How to use

Route the fibre patch cable carefully through cable management ducts or between racks to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension. Remove protective caps from LC and SC connectors immediately before insertion, then insert connectors into the corresponding LC and SC ports until they click into place. Use the supplied measurement protocol to verify optical loss values after installation and perform an end-to-end test with appropriate transceivers and test equipment. When disconnecting, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

Maintain a minimum bend radius as specified for OM3 multimode cables (commonly 10x the cable diameter) and avoid tight wraps around cable guides. Store and transport with connector caps fitted to protect endfaces, and clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating to ensure optimal attenuation and return loss performance.
