SilverStone FF143 Magnetic Dust Filter for 140 mm Fans – Black (SST-FF143B)

The SilverStone FF143 is a slim, magnetized fan filter designed for 140mm fan openings. At just 1.5 mm thick, the black FF143 reduces dust intake while preserving airflow, helping maintain cooling performance and prolong component life. Its magnetic frame allows quick attachment to steel chassis panels without tools, and its dimensions also fit many 120mm vents where filtration is needed.

Advantages

The integrated magnets enable tool-free, repeatable installation and removal. The ultra-fine filter material captures dust effectively while keeping airflow resistance low. Compatibility with most 140mm fans and many 120mm vents makes the FF143 versatile for different mounting locations.

Suitable for

• PC cases with 140mm fan mounts
• Steel chassis panels where magnetic attachment is possible
• Vent openings that require dust filtration, including some 120mm vents

How to use

Align the FF143 filter over the steel fan or vent opening and let the embedded magnets secure it in place. Ensure the filter covers the entire intake or exhaust opening to prevent bypass. Periodically remove the filter by pulling it off the panel, clean accumulated dust with compressed air or by rinsing the filter gently if the material allows, then dry completely before reattaching.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean the filter every 1–3 months depending on your environment; more frequent maintenance is advised in dusty locations. Avoid mounting on non-ferrous panels without additional magnetic backing, and do not use excessive force when removing to prevent deforming the thin frame.
