How to use

Prepare the pigtail by stripping the protective outer jacket and cleaving the fiber according to the fusion splicer manufacturer's instructions. Align and fusion-splice the un-terminated fiber end to the incoming drop or feeder fiber, then protect the splice with a heat-shrink sleeve or splice protector and place it inside a splice enclosure or distribution box. Route the LC/UPC connector to the patch panel or adapter and secure it in the appropriate adapter slot. Perform optical loss testing to verify splice quality and overall link attenuation.

Handle the LC connector with care to avoid contamination of the ferrule; always use appropriate cleaning tools and dust caps when the connector is not in use.
