GoPro Base Boom is a fully customizable extension rig kit designed to expand capture options for all GoPro HERO cameras. The kit includes two premium carbon fiber arms, a ball-joint camera mount, curved and flat adhesive mounts, and hardware for secure attachment. The carbon fiber construction keeps weight low while providing strength and the folding design supports compact storage and adjustable extension lengths for a range of shooting setups.

How to use

Attach the adhesive mount appropriate to your mounting surface (curved for helmets and boards, flat for flat surfaces) and allow proper cure time per adhesive mount instructions. Connect an arm to the mounting buckle and secure with the supplied hex screws; use the hex key to tighten and lock the joints. Adjust arm length and swivel the metal mounting fingers to position the ball-joint camera mount, then fine-tune rotation and tilt to frame your shot. Use the triangulation support slider to brace one arm against the other for increased stability. Combine additional Boom extensions if a longer reach or different configuration is required.

Recommendations

Use caution when operating the Boom and be aware of surroundings to avoid injury. When mounting on a helmet follow the helmet manufacturer’s instructions and choose a helmet that meets applicable safety standards; GoPro recommends attaching Boom to the rear of the helmet. Do not use the Boom for skydiving, base jumping, bungee jumping or other aerial activities.
