The Equip Cat.6A U/UTP Slim Patch Cable 3m Grey is a slim, 3‑meter network cable designed for high-density installations in data centres, server rooms and enterprise networks. With a reduced diameter and stranded bare copper conductors, it provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance up to 500 MHz while improving cable routing and airflow in crowded racks and patch panels.

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 plug to the network port of a switch, patch panel or device and the other RJ‑45 plug to the corresponding port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and that cable routing avoids sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Use the slim cable for short horizontal or patch runs where space is limited; it is not intended as in‑wall permanent plenary cabling unless local regulations permit LSZH patch cords in that application.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep cable runs within the specified 3 m length for patching, maintain bend radius greater than four times the cable diameter, and segregate from high-voltage power cables to minimise EMI. Verify PoE power budgets on connected equipment before deployment.
