The Equip Cat.6A U/UTP Slim Patch Cable 0.5m Red is a slim, high-performance patch cable intended for data centres, enterprise networks and high-density installations. With a reduced diameter (32 AWG) and unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) construction, it supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet and frequencies up to 500 MHz while allowing improved airflow and neater cable management in crowded racks and patch panels.

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network device ports (switch, patch panel or network interface). Ensure connectors click into place and route the cable through cable management channels or ties to maintain neatness and airflow. Use the 0.5 m length for short patching between adjacent devices or within patch panels.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends with radii smaller than the cable construction allows and keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources. Use for short links where a slim profile improves rack density; for long permanent links use appropriate full-size Cat6A installation cable.
