The Wireless siren Indoor HomeMatic HMIP-ASIR-2 is a battery-powered indoor alarm siren for the Homematic IP smart home system. How to use

Mount the siren on a ceiling or high on a wall using the supplied mounting bracket so it is difficult to reach. Add the device to your Homematic IP system via the Homematic IP app and configure the desired alarm sounds, duration and LED behaviour. Pair the siren with motion detectors, door/window sensors or smoke alarms within the Homematic IP system. Test the alarm after installation to verify sound and visual signals and confirm app notifications are received.

Recommendations

Place the siren centrally in living areas or corridors for best coverage and mount it out of reach to prevent tampering. Regularly check battery status in the Homematic IP app and test the alarm function after system changes or firmware updates.
