For consistent results, take measurements at the same time of day and under similar conditions. After use, switch the scale off if it has a power button or allow it to auto-off to conserve battery life.

Recommendations

To ensure accurate and repeatable measurements, place the scale on a flat, non-carpeted floor, stand with feet evenly distributed on the platform, and avoid moving until the reading is complete. Store the scale in a dry place and replace the battery when display segments dim or readings become intermittent.
