Door/Window Sensor Olympia 5964

The Olympia 5964 Door/Window Sensor is an infrared light barrier designed for indoor use with Olympia Protect 6xxx/9xxx series security systems. It consists of sender and receiver units that detect interruptions of an infrared beam to act as a doorbell for entry control or as an alarm sensor. How to use

Install the sender and receiver units facing each other on each side of the monitored opening at a recommended height of about 1–1.5 m. Connect the units to power and insert backup batteries if desired (batteries not included). Enroll the device in the Olympia Protect 6xxx/9xxx control panel using the 868 MHz wireless pairing procedure described in the system manual. Configure the detection range (up to 4 m or up to 20 m) and select the operating mode (doorbell or alarm siren) and the preferred volume level. Test the beam interruption and system response after installation to ensure reliable operation.

Place the light barrier where the infrared beam will not be obstructed by objects or direct sunlight; keep alignment stable and perform regular tests. Use battery backup for continued operation during power outages and choose the shorter detection range for narrow entries to reduce false triggers.
