The DIGITUS AV transmitter & receiver HDMI IP Extender Set 4K/60Hz enables transmission of HDMI AV signals in ultra-high 4K resolution (4096 x 2160 at 60Hz) over long distances. In a point-to-point connection it supports cable runs up to 200 m using CAT6 or higher network cable. The system can also be expanded over IP to a point-to-multipoint configuration supporting up to 253 receivers and can use existing 1G network infrastructure with cascading via switches to extend range beyond a single link. The set includes a transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) and supports IR remote control forwarding and wall mounting for flexible installation.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source (player, PC, set-top box) to the transmitter HDMI input and connect the transmitter RJ45 output to a CAT6 (or higher) cable running to the receiver. Connect the receiver RJ45 input to the CAT cable and the receiver HDMI output to the display. Provide 5 V DC power to both transmitter and receiver. For multi-display use, connect the transmitter into a 1G network switch and cascade additional switches or receivers as required. Use the IR ports to forward remote control commands between source and display.

Recommendations

For best performance use high-quality shielded CAT6 or higher cables, keep individual cable runs within the specified 120–200 m limits depending on topology, and ensure network switches are Gigabit-rated when expanding over IP. Add model DS-55352 receivers for additional displays and place units on a stable surface or fixed to a wall using the mounting points.
