DIGITUS HDMI Extender Set - 4K/30Hz 70m PoC IR

The HDMI Extender Set extends Full HD AV signals up to 70 m and supports 4K/30Hz up to 40 m when used with a CAT6 or higher network cable. The kit includes a transmitter with an HDMI loop-out for connecting a local monitor and a receiver for the distant display. Power over Cable (PoC) means only the transmitter requires an external power adapter. The set is compatible with HDMI 1.4, HDCP 1.4 and DVI 1.0 and provides a video bandwidth of 10.2 Gbps.

How to use

Connect the transmitter to the source device via HDMI and, if required, to a local monitor using the HDMI loop-out. Link transmitter and receiver with a CAT5e or higher network cable, using CAT6 or above for 4K@30Hz up to 40 m. Supply power to the transmitter via the external adapter; the receiver will be powered through the cable via PoC. At the receiver end connect the remote display with HDMI. Use the IR interface to operate the source from the receiver and set the EDID copy switch to choose the desired EDID source for optimal compatibility.

Recommendations

For stable 4K@30Hz transmission use CAT6 or higher cable and keep cable runs within 40 m. For reliable Full HD extension up to 70 m use high-quality shielded CAT5e/CAT6 cables and avoid running the cable near strong electromagnetic interference sources.
