The DIGITUS FTTX enclosure DN-931094 is a compact protective box for fiber splices, terminations, storage and connections. It ships with 4 x SC simplex (SC SX) couplers preinstalled and can alternatively accept 4 x LC duplex (LC DX) couplers without flange. The housing measures 80 mm × 30 mm × 100 mm, has an IP45 dust-protection rating and is suitable for wall mounting or snapping onto a profile (DIN) rail.

How to use

Mount the enclosure on a wall or snap it onto a compatible DIN rail. Open the transparent cover and route incoming fibers into the integrated splice cassette, using the hinged cassette to manage bend radius and cable routing. Perform fusion or mechanical splicing as required and secure splices inside the cassette. Install the desired couplers (4 × SC SX supplied; replaceable with 4 × LC DX without flange) and close the cover. Use the labelling field on the cover to mark connections.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, maintain proper bend radius and secure outdoor cables to prevent strain. Use appropriate sealing on cable entry points when the enclosure is used in exposed or semi-exposed locations despite its IP45 rating.
